Any idea what it is?
Hi. My dog Peanut has had this for a while now. I don't know if its just from her age, or what. The vet has never said anything about it and etc. But its seemed to get bigger, and darker. Peanut is 13 years old. Sorry the picture isnt the greatest and yes shes very gray. She's not the prettiest but she's like family, I've had her so long. But anyways, any idea on what this is and how to get rid of it? (The darkness of skin by her legs and etc. Ive given her baths, it doesn't come off)

Hmmm, I would think it is probably just age spots. I wouldn't worry about it if it doesn't bother her. Perhaps ask your vet next time?

My Molly has the same.... it's just skin pigmentation as a result of cronic infection. Peanut might have had a yeast infection or some kinda of pyroderma (sp? - that's a skin infection) in the past, it would be gone now but the pigmentation stays.
Nothing to worry about... just watch for redness and itchies as signs of new infection. Peanut is probably prone to them. Let the vet know though - so they can double check for signs of infection

Okay. Just making sure its nothing very bad or anything. She did have a staph infection before because shes allergic to fleas and thats hard to control sometimes. Thank you guys.
