How to help my kidney cat gain weight

PP,I am glad you are getting so much good advice from Growler,she is a wonderful girl.
My Rocky too has lost more weight and I am really worried,he is skin and bones.
He eats very good,drinks a lot of water and pees a river,for a while he would vomit after drinking,only in the morning,but now that has stopped.
I am not supposed to bring Rocky to the vet before mid september,when he finishes the Prednisone,but I am not going to wait..

For lower phos you would be better to go with:

Wellness Indoor @ 0.85% dry matter phos, Protein dry matter 33.53%, Fat dry matter 14.13%

Wellness Complete Health Adult Salmon, Salmon Meal & Deboned Turkey @ 1.01%, Protein dry matter 39.78%, Fat dry matter 20.65%

Wellness Complete Health Adult Deboned Chicken, Chicken Meal & Rice @ 1.12%, Protein dry matter 40%, Fat dry matter 20.26%

Eagle Pack Holistic Select Dry Duck @ 1.13, Protein dry matter 35.4%, don't have actual value for fat but it is around 20%

I did check the Core and noticed it was a bit too high. He's on the Wellness
Indoor now.

I didn't think the Renafood was a issue but just wanted to check. He's seems to be eating a bit less the past few days, not sure if it's the Pepcid?

I'm just giving a small scoop of the dry, still keeping mostly on the wet food.

It's possible it's the pepcid, loss of appetite is listed as a potential mild side effect

Have the temperatures been quite hot lately? I know that used to affect my cats (me too) sometimes where they just would eat less, those days it was really hot.

If it continues you may want to speak to your vet about an appetite stimulant.
