I actually managed to get her all rowdy tonight. I slammed her on the sofa a little and she got all pawy and excited. It was pretty funny. She's such a gentle doggy.

We walked way too far today by accident... There was a woman looking for her dog, and about halfway home, we found somebody who had the dog, so we went back to find the lady, yadda yadda, Leila was walking behind me by the time we got home... I hosed her down to cool her off (which she loved) and then she chilled out. We pushed them so hard today, and it just seemed to activate them.

They are beautiful dogs. It's amazing how big a difference you can already see in them. Not just their coats and the physical things, but in their posture and especially in their eyes. What a difference a little TLC can make!

(Or a whole LOT of TLC, which I think is more likely the case here. for Prin, Mr Prin, Jemma and Boo!

Pablo made it nearly 10 hours without peeing... The twit would not go out last night before I went to bed. I tried twice, and he just flipped onto his side and got heavy. He was having a good sleep and full bladder or not, he wasn't going anywhere. We haven't had any accidents in the house since the second day, which is awesome! I've never had housetrained fosters before.

I walked Pablo for the first time by myself today... He was a little draggy the first few days, and so my man walked him, but today, the man was gone, so I had no choice. What an awesome doggy to walk! Both are. They just like the walk, unlike labs who like the destination.

I just can't believe nobody has snatched them up yet. What amazing, amazing doggies they are.

That sounds great . I'm sure the doggy gods are working on an extra special home for them so it will take a little time .

Honestly Prin...I bet you it is only because of their size~ because they look like wonderful dogs....Can I ask what is their story? or was that somewhere in the forum but I missed it?

There is a thread: http://www.pets.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=39186

But their size is so secondary, IMO. They take up a lot less room than a bouncy little dog, that's for sure.

I realize there are so many of Pablo... That's just because Leila is so aloof and independent. I mean, she loves the cuddles, but she's not in your face as much as Pablo. Pablo's eager to please.

Awwwwww, Pablo reminds me quite a bit of Fingal in these pics-that crazy dog look while rolling on his back!

Wow, did Leila ever do a number on that poor Cuz. Must be one of the newer, thin walled ones.

Curious

OK, So I have been following and reading, and they look fabulous! So my question is this: can they travel if someone was to adopt them not anywhere near you. Say the other side of Canada....? And do they have to stay as pair?? Great job to you Prin for all your love and attention to them!

I think if you come get them then maybe (BMD is in charge of the adoption stuff), but they definitely won't be flying anywhere. We'd rather they stay together because they do rely on each other, but that may change as they chill out.

I really hope they stay together. And, the people who adopt them continue to post us pics or at least send them to you, Prin, to post.

That last snoring video scared the crap outta my cats. They are laying with me and I had the sound on my laptop turned right up. They about jumped out of their skin. I don't think I could sleep through that loud of snoring. Dracko will lightly snore at times and I think it is so cute. Love it when his feet jerk, too.

Jemma gives the best "surprised" poses when you get close ups of her like that.

I am glad to see Boo allows the dogs to "touch" him at least and they aren't fighting.

Cracked a Kong! Goodness, Leila is a very strong girlie. Good thing that Newfs are so gentle, if they have that kind of jaw strength!

But I guess if you think about it, they were bred to help out on boats and docks and can be trained to pull small boats through the water by tugging on ropes so they need that kind of strength.

Bet Leila could wear out Boo playing tug of war!
