Dog is very sick!!! Vomiting w/bloody mucus

My dog is 1 years old. He has had diarrhea for 2 days, has not eaten in 2 days, has not slept for 2 days and began vomiting last night. The vomit this morning had a very strong odor - it was very mucus like and bloody. I am very scared and worried it is critically ill - Please do anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

Symptoms:

Began diarrhea 2 nights ago
Not eating any food
Not drinking hardly any water
Vomiting - very large amount of vomit this morning. Mucus blood like vomit with a very very very strong odor
Not sleeping at night

Please get your dog to a vet immediately. If he has Parvo, he has to be treated asap or you will lose him.

We can't diagnose your dog. Please get him to a vet now!

Get off this forum and get to a vet. The above poster is right!

Every second is crutial. Please do not ask for someone here to help you during this time of emergency.
Good luck.

I did take him - I just wanted your opinion - I wrote the post right before I left for the Vet - I am not stupid. His GI Tract and Stomach is swollen - no obstruction though. Gave me antibiotic & vomiting medicine to give him. Needs to drink Pedi-light & chicken broth to re-hydrate. Vet is going to check up on him for the next few days with me to make surehe is responding to the medicine. Parvo test was negative!

A sigh of relief no doubt. By the way - no one is implying that you are stupid. You must understand however that alot of people use this forum to get answers and when something requires a vet, it would be great if they just went to seek out a professionals opinions rather than us (most of us anyways) that cannot diagnose a problem on-line.

Thank goodness it is not parvo - I am sure you can breathe easier.

Wow, glad it was nothing too serious. I know that there is something going around in dogs lately, not fun!! We had to test Sydney as a puppy for Parvo too, it was so scary waiting for the results.
