Chronic Ear Infections

I am looking for an herbal homemade recipe for my dog. The stuff from the vet has helped temporarily but the issue keeps coming back. Anyone have a recipe?

Have you tried getting at the source of them? Whatever you use won't help unless you eliminate the source... A lot of food allergies show up as ear infections, for example...

What has the vet prescribed ? an antibiotic or a cleaner? has a swab of the material in the ear been done and examined so the vet knows exactly what they are treating? Have you gone back to the vet for rechecks?
An ear wash may improve symtoms for a while by getting rid of the waxy buildup but not eliminate an infection. Sometimes a steriodal antibiotic ointments is needed instead

I definately have to agree with Prin. I too was frustrated with my dogs constant yeast infections in her ears. After joining here and learning a bit more, i switched her diet... and PRESTO... she hasnt had one since!
I was constantly heading to the vet for the antibiotics and cleansers and all the while it was her diet!
