No responses to my Havanese health post
Doesn't anyone have any experience with this with their own dogs? I know the vet said there is nothing there to worry about, but I'm looking for some pet owner advice.
Two people I know since last week said their puppies also had little pimple-like bumps, that it's common at that age. Anyone?? Thanks very much. |

I guess no one has had experience with this. If the vet says it's just a pimple and not to worry, I would just keep the area clean and..well - not worry!
You wouldn't want to be pinching such a sensitive spot, or having the puppy anesthetized to remove something harmless. |

All dogs can be prone to pimples and acne. No biggie, it's not life treatening.
As any pet get's older any "bump" or lump requires a close eye for changes. Boxer's & Labs are very prone to certain lypomas and other lumpy issue's like cyst's. I have found 3 on Ciara in the past 6 months, I carefully examine each one at least every other day for changes. None noted. At her next vist to Dr. Stapler, I will have her check them out...I am not worried about them in the least...and most here know how I dote over Ciara. All dogs eventually get a bump or lump or two...some people never realize it.

XOXOXOX - Thank you !! I examine Murphy's 2 little bumps every day too.
He is not completely house trained yet (not even completely wee wee pad trained - another story - Ugh!), and I thought maybe from laying on the carpeting and some of the urine residue. Last night I started removing the soiled carpeting. It's very old, and I can no longer get all the smell out. This weekend I'll remove the rest of the soiled carpeting and buy some bathroom-type, washable area rugs until M is trained. Last night I cleaned his little bumps with soap & warm water. This morning it looks like the first bump is a bit smaller (or maybe it's me hoping it is). It DEFINITELY isn't bigger and I really do think it's smaller. Anyway, how we love these animals !! Thank you for your post. LG |
