Talking Im SOOO proud of her

Well, As some of you know, i have been having some problems with houstraining my puppy ( Thanks to all that responded to my other thread, it helped ALOT) .. Well, Tonight i was sitting in bed watching tv with keely, When she jumped of my bed , Ran down the stairs and ran right for the porch door! I let her outside and she did her pee (she dribbled a little on the floor in front of the door, but i dont really care about that, she tried her hardest!!) Im soooo proud! She got 2 marrow bones as a treat(and thats alot for a 16 wk old yorkie puppy!!) . What a big step for us! I still cant get over it!! Agian that you all so much for your help, you guys are the greatest and i would be totally lost if it werent for the people on this forum!!

Woo hoo! thats a good start! keep up all of your hard work. You will have such a well trained pup. Although you might not want to give her too many marrow treats, maybe just one? dont want her to lose her girlish figure. obesity is alot worse in smaller dogs, since only a few pouns extra can really damage them. But great sucess...and i'm pretty sure you havent posted to many pictures!

Ally- I know what you mean about the treat thing, she doesnt get marrow bones that often because they dont come in a smaller size, but since it was her first time going to the door to get i decided, what the heck? just this once..lol...I feel terrible for not posting any pictures yet, its my cameras fault, i have to fool around with one pictire for literally 15 minutes just to be able to post it. They will come, I PROMISE!!

Thanks for the offer Ally, But the resizing isnt the problem, I have to download my pictures to a certain program that isnt detected on my computer when i try to post them on a website So i have to go in and screw around with the pictures and transfer them to another folder and whatnot.. lol.. Very frustrating, especially since my computer is soooo slow!

Keely is a smart little cookie! But she still won't be 100% reliable for a while, so keep vigilant and set her up for success! I'll bet she was so proud of herself!

Can you cut the marrow treats in half? We break the dogs' treats in half all the time and they don't seem to notice that they only get half as much.

hehe thats what i was thinking.. maybe take a big butchers knife and chop them in half? The half treat or even quater treat is done quite often in this house..or else enzo would be the size of a house!

Awww that is such a great thing to hear!!! I konw that sometimes house training a dog can be furstrating but it pays off in the end when you praise them for doing their duty outside and watch their ears perk up and their tail wag so hard they fall over!!

Yes, its sooo rewarding!! she did have an accident last night, and before she went to bed she went to the porch ( Silly me wasnt paying attention) and she pee'd on the paper that is left there just incase of an accident (she goes to the door first and if nobody opens it she walks to her paper )
