Packing some play into December
Ember and Lil Belle (brother and sister) like the Kong disks a lot...

Finally, Ember manages to wrest the toy from his sister...
...but she finds solace in getting yet another Kong and running with it across the yard. |

Is that a large kong or a medium? If it's a large, I've just met my first doggy who plays with a large.
Great pics Hazel. Love the movement. |

We always have at least three of the regular Kongs on hand and need to replace them about every 6 months... Pretty good lasting power for a toy around here! So far, they've managed to put a couple of tooth marks in the flying disks, but they appear to be pretty rugged, too. As you can see, they aren't treated very gently... |

I just figured out how to take "snapshots" from video and download them to the computer. The resolution is pretty bad, but okay for a 72 dpi screen.
The best thing about the "snapshots" is that if you don't "capture" the right action, you get another chance to go back and "capture" it again. So much easier than trying to catch it with the 35 mm! |

Snapshots from a video, eh? A digital video?

ummmm... lessee.... it's an obsolete but still functional Sony DCR-TRV30 NTSC

Is that digital? Like can you upload the videos?

Oh...ya... Probably could, only I don't have a fast enough connection. I'm assuming that if I can't download them, I can't upload them, either. So I haven't ever even tried to transfer them out to the computer. I burn the tapes to DVD. How big would a 30 sec clip typically be? If it's more than 1M, I'd hose my modem for sure...

About 18 megs... What I used to do was download other stuff while the video was uploading so the connection stayed...

The connection would likely stay (if I wasn't on the bad span) but the modem would freeze up long before I managed to upload anything of that size. If I tried to download anything during the upload, I'd be double hosed!
