Here we go again
Pit bulls kill dog
Toronto Sat, September 23 The Toronto Humane Society is investigating after a Jack Russell terrier was killed by two pit bulls near Bloor St. and Islington Ave. Witnesses said two women were walking the terrier on Tuesday night when the pit bulls, who came from a house on Fernaloy Blvd., attacked. Despite the woman's hardest efforts to fend off the dogs, and help from a construction worker who rushed over from a nearby home to beat the pit bulls with a stick, the terrier lost his life. The pit bulls then ran home, followed by neighbours who confronted the owner as he was leaving to look for his dogs. The owner burst into tears when he saw the dead terrier, a witness said |

I'd be asking 1 ? -Was the JRT on a leash?
As they seldom if ever, seem to be.

Thats sad for the JRT that was killed, but its also sad for pit bulls, now there will be even more of an excuse to ban them...

Yesterday, City TV said residents of the area have started a petition to send to Bryant. Things don't look good, if you are against the ban.
I really wish the problem pit-owners would wise up. On the bright-side, a breeder of Jack russells gave the family a puppy. I haven't heard the victim say anything about the ban, but she does want the dogs that attacked PTS( Can't say that I blame her). |

The paper said the JRT was on a leash and harness, and the owner had picked the dog up and was holding it when the dogs pulled it out of her arms.
