Watery Eye
Hi all,
My cat, 1 year old, has developed a watery eye. Only in one eye, the other is fine. No other problems, and he doesn't seem bothered by the watering. He opens his eye normally like the other. The liquid is clear and thin, like tears, and doesn't crust up, it just kind of evaporates. As far as the rest of his health he is fine, sleeps fine, eats fine, no vomiting or sneezing or coughing or anything. Should I be making a vet visit for this? It just came on in the last couple of days since it got really hot in Toronto and I've had to put on the A/C. Any thoughts? Let me know! |

Wouldn't hurt. He may have caught a cold. Better to get it checked and under control before it gets worse.

He's fine - I called his vet the day I posted this who asked me some questions about his health and the eye. He told me to watch it closely and if it got worse or he developed any other symptoms or issues to bring him in. It has pretty much dried up now and he is fine in all other respects - crisis averted!
Thanks for asking!! |
