breed guessing game!

This is my mom`s new friend, Molly. She was rescued from the pound, I have no idea how she ended up there, she is such a sweet little dog. She is about 3, advertised as "beagle mix". She weighs a bit under 20 pounds. Her fur is short & wirey, her coloring is so not beagle though, she has white booties on her feet as well as her chest. I think her face is sort of spaniely looking and my daughter thinks she see dachsund. What do you see?

She looks like my beagle-x and nothing like him. Buddy doesn't look like a beagle or the father who was a segguio. He is solid caramel with white belly and front paws. His only beagleish feature is he has long ears. You sure can tell he is a hound though when there are squirrels in the backyard, he quivers waiting to be let out to chase them! When we take him to the dog park, he runs around and not one dog can catch him. He just loves that.

Anyway, congratulations on your new sibling! You mum was great for adopting him. Being a beagle mix he will have a wonderful personality.
