getting a dog

Hi everyone, I am looking towards getting a puppy. a bichon shih Tzu, I was wondering if anyone knows any breeders in Calgary or even near Calgary(I don't mind driving) that breed bichon fries with shih tzus, I have tried looking online but there really aren't many online, and I do not want to go to some people that Im not even sure if its safe on some sites, not sure if they could be a scam or not. thanks for the help in advance guys

I'd suggest going through a rescue. You won't find any kind of reputable breeder that will breed those 2 dogs together.

You will find a lot of these mixed breeds at a shelter. Please don't purchase online, you will be probably supporting a puppy mill.

You should try calling a shelter and let them you what kind of dog you want and see if they'll call you if one come in or if someone is planning of giving one up. I did but the dogs where a lot older than I wanted.
