Rottie in London Ontario

Please crosspost:
>
> A man has asked us to help him re-home a 4 year old male neutered single-breed rottweiler. The dog is living in his garage and howls all night. He doesn't want the dog. He says the dog is dog and people friendly. The dog's name is Hunter. .
>
> If you can help, this is urgent. London doesn't have a shelter that takes owner-surrendered dogs, and we have no fosters for Hunter as of today, although we have been trying desperately to think of something.
>
> This is the email that Tim, the dog's owner, has sent me: "110LB. Male rottweiler.healthy, neutered, up-to-date 2009 shots. His name is Hunter. Hunter is an inside dog. He has had basic training, he can sit, lay down, shake a paw, fetch a ball and bring back. He has been raised around children. I got Hunter a month ago from a family that was going through rough times. I have had rottweiler's in the past, and have gotten them through the Humane Society. My dilemma is I've always kept my dogs outside, not in the house. Hunter does not like it outside!! He cries and moans,so much I've had neighbours complain as well he is keeping my family up at night. I've tried weaning him outside slowly, but I feel I'm fighting a losing battle. My last resort is to try to find him a good home. I realize this isn't the dog for everyone. I am trying to find him a safe loving home. my phone # is 519-657-4316"
>
> Please help this dog. Contact Tim directly to save time. He has been waiting for me to solve this for a week, so is likely getting frustrated.
>
> Many thanks
> Lois

Thank you so much. I will contact a rescue in Ontario and hopefully they can assist - actually there is a home there waiting for a rott through another group as well. This can be done by this week. Appreciate this very much.

Please forward me by PM your e-mail so that I can communicate with you there. I will require the original e-mail from owner before acting upon.

BM, aren't you on RDIC? That's where this was originally posted by Lois Jackson. I believe a rescue might be working on it that way already. I'll check the list later and let you know.

No I stay away from RDIC. If the rescue cannot take - all I require is the original e-mail and I can get this dog into an organization immediately.

Thanks BMDLuver.
