Unhappy Daisy is was taken.....

Sad news to tell yas about. Yesterday when my father got home there was a man waiting for him. This man claims that he was the owner of Daisy and he took her. And he accused my dad of stealing her.

She did recognize this man and willingly went with him. My father didn't really know what to do or say. Before the man left dad mentioned that he should pay for the vet bills for Daisy and the man said "I'm not paying any *****ing vet bills" and took her and left.

We are in shock. She's literally been mom and dad's sidekick for the past 3 months. She went everywhere with them.

I know that this was always a possibillty, that her real owners could come looking for her. But considering the condition she was in when we found her and the lack of evidence that anyone was searching for...we really thought she was there to stay.

The worst part is, we don't know where she is. He didn't say who is was or where is was from. I just hope she's ok.

Oh Carolyn, I am so sorry for your mom and dad. And you. How horrible! Hopefully some light can be shed on the situation soon. I will keep Daisy in my prayers.

Wow, that stinks. I would not have allowed that guy to take her though. At the very least he should have asked for some proof he was her owner.

I'm so sorry

Your dad was very gracious to give Daisy back. After 3 months and paying the vet bills , I wouldn't have.

I am not sure if your parents had to give him back without proof he owned Daisy, and yes, I do believe your parents could have demanded the owner to reimburse them for the vet bills before returning the dog.

I am so sorry, I am sure Daisy was much better off with your parents.

Trust me, if I was there or any of my sisters....they would not have taken Daisy without some proof or atleast some personal information.

We managed to track the people down and now know where Daisy is. The people who "own" her are total dirtbags and I feel so bad for Daisy. Two of my sisters seen her today....she seemed scared, and wasn't acting like herself. Did I mention she was outside by herself in the pouring rain???? As tempting as it was to take her back....they couldn't.

My sister Holly contacted the guy through facebook asking if my parents could have Daisy back. Said we would pay whatever they wanted for her. We are just waiting to get a response.

And I know he doesn't have to give her back, but I wish he would realize that she had the life of a queen with my parents and all the attention she could ever want.

One more thing....did I mention that they live in a small apartment and that she is a german shepherd? Oh and to top it off.....they are also known for dealing drugs in this town?

Hopefully you have appealed to their greed and will sell her to you. She's totally better off with your parents. I swear, why why why are you going to have a pet and treat it like that? Why did this person feel the need to take her and then leave her out in the rain?

Daisy was taken....

I don't know the circumstances on how your parents came to have Daisy but if they found her and can prove they tried to find the original owner without success I would think the old owner is chit out of luck.
What that man did was steal her . Your parents should call the police.

Isnt there a law, like if something that belongs to somebody else is left in your yard for a month you legally own it?

I think regulated shelters have that law, babymomma, but not too sure about regular folks. Shelters needed that in order to adopt out found pets without legal recourse from previous owners.

I wish there was a law like that. I just hope they come to their senses and see what a loving home Daisy had for the past 3 months while they made no attempts to find her.

We are still waiting for the guys answer on whether or not he will let us pay to have her back.

Oh poor sweet Daisy....

I would notify both the police and your local SPCA of the situation so that your parents' story is on record already. And maybe the SPCA can find reason to apprehend her.

Hopefully he will sell her....

Alright, I'm back. So here goes.....

I live in the same town (small town) as the people who took Daisy (who's real name is Tia). Ever since we found out where they live we have been occasionally driving by (by occcasionally I really mean several times a day). And last night I was going down street to pick up a movie and decided to drive by their house again. Well on my way there I seen Daisy aka "Tia" walking down the road alone!! I stopped my car and ran over to her...she was so happy to see me and I was sooo happy to see her.

Despite all the urges to put her in the car and take her out to my parent's house, I decided to take her back to where she was staying. I knocked on the door to tell them I found her on the road. When they answered the door I got the shock of my life....they said "you can take her home...you can keep her." I almost died on the spot.

I guess that once they heard the real story of why we had their dog they decided it would be best if we kept her. They were under the impression that my parent's stole the dog.

It turns out that they are nice people (although...known for drug dealing) and apologized for accusing my father of stealing Daisy and cursing at him in his own yard. They did seem genuinely sorry...

They told me that since they took her she just wasn't acting herself and they figured that she missed her new family. Which she did!!!

Anyways, they gave her to me....gave me a bag of food and asked if we could bring her to visit sometime.

Almost done...as soon as I got in the car with Daisy and managed to dial my parent's phone # (I was shaking so much I almost couldn't use my cell) and my older sister answered I told her and I went out there ASAP. So my 2 sisters met me at my parent's house and we took her in as a surprise for mom and dad. Oh and as soon as Daisy seen my parent's house she went nuts!! she was on my knee trying to get out before I could even put the car in park! We took her in and mom and dad were so happy to see her and she was so happy to be home!!!

Overall, it has been a very stressful week but could not have ended better!!!!!

The pics aren't really that recent, but I will be getting tons of new ones and will be posting them!!!!

She is absolutely gorgeous!

I believe strongly in fate. She was meant to be with your parents. What an incredible and strange turn of events. So happy for you all and of course Daisy!

Best to you and your family.

I just don't have the words to express how this makes me feel. Like BenMax stated, this is fate, now Daisy can live the life of her dreams.

So glad it all turned out for the best. I guess those people weren't so bad after all, and realized what was best for the dog. What a great ending.
