Hooked on Animal Planet

I don't know if anyone else subscribes, but......yesterday I got the Animal Planet channel and I am soooo hooked on it! I have spent most of my free time watching the various shows and quite often crying! Some of the stories are so upsetting, but others are so amazing!

does anyone else subscribe???

I used to have it but I had to cut down my expenses (story of my life )

Be careful when you watch Animal Precinct and those type of shows , it's real hard sometimes

I don't know if they still have it but I loved the show "Cell dogs" , inmates get to train dogs from the pound.

Also , "Animal psychic" , not that I believed in it but I thought it was cute.

I hear ya! When I moved into my condo, there was a deal with Rogers where we got an HD box plus full cable for free for 2 months but we couldn't afford to keep it after that

my boyfriend knows whenever I come over there, that's what we're watching! Luckily he loves it too!

Glad to hear others are as hooked as me! Hubby just doesn't get it when I sit there with tears running down my cheeks. Yes, Animal Precinct was on last night and there was some pretty sad cases! Luckily, there wasn't one show on last night where an animal had to be euthanized. Even a story about 17 pot-bellied pigs who were rescued and sent to a Pig Rescue and turned out great!

I must be hooked, I didn't even watch American Idol

I watch it regularly,LOVED cell-dogs,but have not seen any for a long time.
I only watch Animal-Cops and others the last 10 minutes, when they show happy endingsthe older I get,the wuzzier I get..
I can't even deal with wild-life shows, where one animal is eating the other,or people do evil things to Gorillas etc....
I LOVE the rescue"Heroes Phoenix" wish we had the same here..

Me too!! I am addicted! I watch these ones regularly:

Breed - all about it
Meercat Manor
Animal Battle grounds
Big Cat Diaries
Big Bear Diaries
All the animal cops shows if I can stomach it, not always in the mood.
Emergency Vets

And what ever else is on, it's my fav channel. We only pay $14.99 for 14 specialty channels so it's not so bad.

If you like animal and human type shows - watch Discovery Civilization, and National Geographic...both have great show about animals and humans! I also get discovery health, which features animal health shows like...Help, I'm as fat as my dog.

me too sometimes. I would watch the beginning and if I thought it was going to be too graphic , I would go back before the end to see the happy endings.

I find, when we are in South Carolina,Animal-Planet there has more variety.
I think ours shows a little too much Meercat Manor and Most Extreem.
I too watch first what Animal Cops is about, then I decide if I can handle it.
I love to see when Pit-Bulls get adopted, the other night a beautiful sweet,tan/white Pit-Bull was adopted, how different from idiotic Ontario, where she would have been killed:sad:

Talking Animal Planet JUNKIE!!!!

I Love this channel. The only thing I don't watch is anything that has to do with animals attacking. My husband came in the other night while I was watching it and said "WHY do you do this to yourself?". My reply....because it is so amazing how much these animals go thru and then end up so loving in the end.
I never watch unless I have my hanky handy! I actually got my friend hooked on it and also some of the websites I have found out about thru here....she said today she blames me for her spending an entire day looking for a bloodhound at rescue shelters! ...to explain, on craigslist there is an emaciated bloodhound who is scheduled to be put down on Fri unless someone adopts him. He is in Whitesville NC and his name is Rufus. Needless to say she couldn't get him out of her head and has been trying to get in touch with the county. We decided today that if we ever have enough money we will buy lots of acreage and start our own shelter...however it will be called KEEPER SHELTER ...because neither of us would ever be able to let them go after getting our hands on them Well now that I have ranted totally off subject I'll just end this with ANIMAL PLANET CHANNEL RULES

>< Though I've never had Animal Planet, there was a FREE() preview of it today. It was so cool! I was hooked on and watched it for about 4 hours straight! Didn't get to see what my friend keeps on talking about: Pound Patrol. There was a commercial about it and it look fascinating. I WANT ANIMAL PLANET!!!
