does your dog play with their food?

dakota (still very much a puppy) often plays with her food. i am not concerned about this, i just think that it is funny and odd. odd because of the way she does it. her food is a mix of different colors, red, yellow, orange green, brown, etc. she will take a mouthful of food and move over to the carpet and then drop all of it. she then will eat all of it except one piece. this piece always seems to be a red piece and then she will take that piece and pick it up and run over to "her chair" and lay down on her pillow in the chair and she will drop it and just nudge it around with her snout playfully biting it in a teasing manner. it is very humorous to watch. i was just wondering if anyone elses dog does this.

My doggies don't play with their food... They're too eager to eat it. But I find it very cute when other people's doggies do it. My friend's dog takes a mouthful and brings it to wherever you are to eat it.

Dodger's motto: Food is for eating (and all food = MINE!)

If I throw a treat or a chew on the floor, he does this whole head tossing, growly display at the treat before lying down to eat it !
