You both need time to adjust to the change and you might start second guessing yourself again, that's something you both could do without!!! For the sanity of both you and Damien, I would suggest holding off on the visits for a couple more weeks and then spend only a couple hours. That might be easier to adjust.. How did his interview for the police services go, that was supposed to be last week, right? They were going to come and see him....
