Lezzerpezzer, that story made me cry. If only people took the responsibility of owning a pet more seriously, this wouldn't happen and we wouldn't have shelters full with unwanted pets.

How true! That is how we got Misty our beagle. She was 6 wk old undernourished, flea and intestinal worm infested pup and dumped on the side of our street under in an underpass. After she was never claimed she became officially ours. Medical bills and all!
