here is a question to kinda getting the ball rolling kinda know where ya'll standwith different issues. how do ya'll feel about apbt mixes mine is a german shepard chow pit mix and at this age sweet as can be. but we have to keep an eye on temp. changes as he gets. as some dogs temps. change with age. what do ya'll think. and give another to add to this is what do ya'll think would be a worse mix for a pit be???? thanks in advance for all your responses. :rolleyes:

Personally, I think pit bulls should never be mixed with other breeds. There are many breeds, particularly the guardian breeds,(and Chows)who have no hesitation about taking down a human being. Please note I'm talking breed traits in general. Temperament will of course vary from dog to dog in any breed. Pit bulls were bred to be submissive to people, but intolerant or aggressive to other dogs.

When mixing breeds this way, there is no guarantee about what you will get. The result *could* be a gamedog who cannot be called off, with no inhibitions about attacking a person.

I'm glad your dog is sweet and I hope he stays that way!

LR is more knowledgeable with PBT's and such so I'd listen to her, she's a smartie pants in a good way :D
