Nikko is gone
 

My dad just called me as I was sitting her trying to make my puppy feel better to say that the family cat died. My brother came home to find her curled up on my parents bed (as she usually is) but was no longer breathing. She lived a good long life and I am sure she is happy she became a house cat instead of a farm cat. I have added her to the pet cemetary.

Thank you for all your kind thoughts. My dad took her to cremated today (the city they live in has a bylaw that says this is a must) and they will probably wait until my next trip home before we decide what to do with her ashes.
