How to brush m[b]cafee's[/b] teeth ?

Is there a special mouth refreshner ?

Now our lab pub is 1month and 2weeks :)

You can start with or without the doggy toothpaste. If you are using the toothpaste make sure that it is one that is designed for dogs. Human toothpaste is toxic for dogs. There are many varieties, one being chicken flavoured which is what I use. The toothbrush should also be designed for dogs. Human toothbrushes have metal flecs in them which is too harsh for the enamel of their teeth. The easiest one to use when starting is the finger toothbrush.
The toothpaste is enzymatic so even getting it in the mouth will allow it to work.
Face your dog, lift up the top lip on one side and slide your finger in along the side of their teeth. Let the lip go once you have the toothbrush in and with the other hand use your thumb and finger to gently hold the mouth shut. Then in a circular motion move back and forth covering all the teeth on one side and then repeat on the other. If you want to brush each individual tooth inside and out it is fine but you don't need to.
The teeth should be brushed 3 to 5 times a week and brushing is only one part of dental care. You need to give them other things to help clean their teeth.
Because this is such a very young puppy you don't have to worry so much about cleaning the teeth but getting him started now so that he will get used to it is great.
You should also do daily handling of their whole body including getting your hands inside their mouth. By doing this you will know if something is not right, broken tooth, infection, double sets, etc as well as any other problem with them. It will also get them used to being touched on all parts of their body.
