Now I like photography and I was once at a cemitary to visit someone I know. I noticed that there is alot of art there within headstones such as angels, crosses etc.... I know im a little weird but...
Is it ok to photograph headstones of other peoples graves .....is it legal at all ??

i think it is legal to take photo's for your own use...it is public property....but you can't use them in any public display without a signed aggrement from the families.

then you run into a whole new world of problems....with the person who created the headstone.....copyright if they have one on the design.....you have to think that if you are using the pics for profit then the creator of your subject should be commpensated.

I'm not sure anybody would recognize a cemetary if no names or distinct features are showing. I've had photography profs who LOVED grave yards and had shows of grave yards.
