Diva is an 8 month old Black Lab. She was the runt of her litter and the biggest tease of all the dogs. She would give her brothers and sisters a run for their kibbles. We were able to visit Diva weekly since 3 weeks of age, so bringing her home was an easy transition.
What Diva lacks in size she makes up for in intelligence. She was house-trained since seven weeks and has learned a new trick or command every month since then. Diva can do all the basics (sit, stay, come, down, paw) and she has recently learned rollover, crawl, weave (through my legs as i walk), circle (me) and jump-turn. We are really exited for when she learns to do the wash and cook dinner (Hee Hee).
Although our Div is the biggest joy in our life she is by far perfect. As with all dogs, she is a puppy and proud to show it. Notorious for stealing money and socks, we have had to become frequent users of high shelves. Your average dog interest in squirrels and birds in an understatement in Diva's love of anything not human or canine. Our arms have been pulled from sockets and she has destroyed a few things we have had her tied to, but all in all she is the best thing in our lives.
Living up to her name, Diva, she finds the need to sit on laps and sleep on beds and get every bit of possible attention available in a day. However, when it comes to getting down and dirty in a muddle filed with her brothers and sisters, Diva doesn't hesitate. One of her best qualities is her ability to get along with almost all dogs she encounters. Walks in the neighborhood have become a daily tea hour with newly acquired friends and their owners.
All in all, that's our DIVA. I've always said she is the best mistake I've ever made. I know she will live up to her reputation for the rest of her spoiled life!!!
