All about Roscoe
The thought of parasites makes most pet owners shudder. Just in case we’ve forgotten what they are, a parasite is an organism that lives off another animal without benefit to that animal and without killing that animal. Parasites can be classified into external (ectoparasites) and internal (endoparasites). There are many different types of these critters, from roundworms to hookworms, tapeworms to fleas and ticks. Here is an overview of some of the drugs used to kill them, and a couple of pointers that you as a conscientious pet owner might want to be aware of.

Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to read about my boy! His name is Roscoe Branigan Williams. We tried to name him Riley but Roscoe is what kept coming out, so it stuck! Branigan is Irish for "dark one" which I thought was appropriate considering he is mostly black. His mom is a long haired Border Collie and his dad is an Australian Cattle Dog, or Blue Heeler. He resembles his mom except for what I call his "freckles." His tongue even has spots on it!
Roscoe is a very sweet dog. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. He loves his "kids" and wants nothing more than to spend time with them chasing the ball or rope toy. He also enjoys a good cuddle and belly rub at the end of the day. He is very alert and always wants to know whats going on, but he is very obedient. He comes when called and does good with sit. We are still working on stay.
He LOVES cookies! Whenever you say the C word he runs for the cookie cabinet and will sit patiently waiting for one, two, or more if he had his way! He is starting to learn to catch it in midair which is really cool. He follows me, his mommy, everywhere and sticks close like glue. I like that he does that. He has a fur sister named Mileva who I will make a page for and a fur brother kitty named Otis.
Thanks for taking the time to read about Roscoe! I hope you have enjoyed him. You will find pictures of him at the pets.ca bulletin boards under the pet photography page.
