All about Sadie
Limber Tail Syndrome (AKA cold tail, dead tail, broken wag) is quite common among some breeds of hunting dogs, such as Labradors, Golden Retrievers, Pointers, Setters, and Beagles. It is a condition in which the tail becomes limp and sometimes painful after exertion, particularly during inclement weather, swimming, or in an under-conditioned dog. It is a condition well-known to hunting dog owners and trainers, but not commonly seen by veterinarians. The syndrome is characterized by the swelling of the muscles at the base of the tail (the wagging muscles, which are also used heavily during swimming when the tail may serve as a rudder). These muscles are bound to the tail by a tight ring of connective tissue. As the muscles swell and expand, the connective tissue begins to serve as a tourniquet – cutting off normal blood flow.
When increased pressure within a confined space results in reduced blood flow, it is known as a ‘compartment syndrome’.

My mom tells me that I am a pretty girl but also very silly. I don't like loud noises, and I HATE motorcycles because I can't bark louder then they rumble. I love raw beef bones, playing with my friends, going for walks and I love to be chased. I especially love winter and playing in the snow...it's real hot in the summer and I love to drink from the hose.
Sadie was rescued from an area near Cornwall Ontario with her sister Cookie at the age of 5 weeks, taken from their mama.
We adopted her shortly thereafter from Rosie's
She was caravaned to us all the way from Montreal on one very cold January 2004 night (Jan 31st to be exact) She quickly adjusted to our home where she is growing up to be a very pretty and intelligent young lady.
We love ya Sadie and are so happy you are in our lives.
Growing up so fast!
Thank you for making me a doggie of the month!!
I have finally met my sister Cookie after a long year away from her. Her mom brought her over to my house on a very hot day and we played inside and outside. We couldn't get enough of eachother and are so happy that we can see eachother more often now!!
Licks and wags to you!!! Oh and a big sniff too!
