How old are your dogs? Have you ever given them heartworm preventative?

You need to find out how many worms there are (few or many) if there is heart/lung damage, etc.

These are young dogs, and should be treated, but if you can't afford to have your dogs given the complete treatment, and if they are not badly affected, the baby worms (microfilaria) can be killed off and the adult worms left in place. They will die off in a few years.
