Timmins chooses to NOT BAN DOGS!!

Well, a positive story about the proposed PB bans!! Timmins ONT. council has decided AGAINST any breed ban and a councillor even says: "We're realizing that dogs can bite people if the circumstances are correct and we can't punish dogs for that". My heart just leapt!! Someone finally has some common sense! Do read the news article attached. It is a good step that other cities may follow! Yippee!

At this point in time, any victory, no matter how small, is a victory none the less. It will be difficult to stop the ban, but the more places that decide against it means the better chance the public has of becoming educated about the breed, and will turn against the Liberals for this travesty. And since this is really a public relations move, it bodes well for the cause.

Timmins

At the end of the newspaper article, it does state that if Mr. B does indeed go thru with his Ontario ban, Timmins will have no choice but to comply as well. At least they are trying to be sensible, fair and reasonable! Perhaps it will help other municipalities.
