Sting Or Worse?
My westie puppy Tally, 13 weeks, went walking in woods on Sunday. Now I have noticed a little red patch on her belly - it's very tiny and doesn't seem to be bothering her, but it looks sore. Could she have been stung from the woods, as that's when the mark first appeared?
I know it could also be the sign of a skin problem. Her breeder said her line of puppies had no toruble with skin troubles and Tally has always been kept clean, so it seems unlikely that she'd have problems so early, Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated

Look for some sort of "hole" in the middle of the red spot (like a pinhole). If there is no hole, then I'd say she is either developing a skin condition, or maybe is reacting to something she brushed up against in the woods. If it looks like it's bothering her, I'd take her to the vet. Good luck!

It could be a little scrape or a it could be a bite, writing4fun is right look for a stinger if you dont find one just monitor the spot and your dogs demeanor if she gets lethargic or other changes in her I would take her to the vet.
