I'm back!

Well! I have been absent for a while, so I wanted to touch base.
My Mom is all moved in!!!!! I am so happy to have her here with me. She's my best friend in the world. No longer do I have to type long accounts about my day and send it to her, or wait until my nighttime minutes kick in on my cellphone to call and tell her. I can just come home and chat with her directly! I'm so used to emailing her on a daily basis, it's a wonder my fingers don't move as I talk .

My son sliced his finger open just a few hours before Mom arrived- sharpening a knife. Almost shaved the side of his finger off. So we were at the hospital getting him stitched up when she showed up to a note on the door. Rocky start! He's never been hurt before- not a stitch or broken bone or sprain or anything. Just goes to show you what happens when I stop hovering over him. Or at least that's what I told him. He's fourteen on the 21st and not very hovering-tolerant anymore, even with a finger full of stitches. Bah.

Raj and Chloe are doing well. I finally bit the bullet and bought a 32 dollar bag of Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul for them. As I was being checked out by the cashier, I kept reminding myself of LuckyRescue's words: "They will eat less of this...it will balance out....they will eat less.....it will balance out.."

Well, LuckyRescue, not only were you absolutely RIGHT, but they LOVE THIS FOOD. First three ingredients are MEAT, MEAT and MEAT LOL. I don't do scheduled feedings (never have). Rather, I simply cut the top off of the bag for Raj to eat out of at will, and keep Chloe's dish full at all times. They schedule themselves- eating twice a day, and I've never had a dog overeat this way. Anyway, the level of food in the bag would have been HALF of what it is now with the other brands I've been buying. Thank you THANK YOU LuckyRescue for giving me a nudge on this.

My college classes are great this semester, and I've been involved with a few extra-curricular projects as well. Not doing much on the internship at the moment, as all of my spare time has been joyfully filled by moving my Mom in.

That's my update for now. Will be able to check in more often, with things settling down a bit.

Wow, if I left the bag open for Badger, well, let's just say fifty helium balloons couldn't carry him off!

Badger, here it's about $14.99 for a larger size, compared to Wellness at $24.99,the only difference in ingredients is Wellness uses sweet potatoe and CSFCLS uses regular potatoes.
The Wellness rep(she was at my store one day)I was talking to said sweet pot are easier to digest for the cat,but mine has no problems.
Also CSFPLS are kind of star-shaped,where Wellness is like pellets(if I remember right!).
I always have a bowl of dry food out,I bet if you did Badger would get used to it and not eat too much, now he knows he gets fed once or twice and that's it,so he'll gulp i down.Cats are known to be nibblers,as I am sure you know and like to come back for more, ever now and then, unlike dogs.

Thanks, all!

Wow, it seems different around here. Or am I imagining it? I haven't been gone THAT long, but.....reading through some of the posts, it almost seems the tone has changed all around.

But I'm glad it's warm in here! Missed you!!

It is different in here Cactus!!! I noticed it when I came back after my computer crashed for 2 weeks!!! Anyways, glad to hear you are back, we missed ya!!!

I switched Bricks food from Eagle Pack to Nutro - and he loves it!!! AND...he doesn't FART as much anymore!!!! We looked at Chicken Soup for Dogs and Wellness, and couldn't decide! In the store all I kept thinking was what everyone would say, regarding each food!!! Funny eh?? We chose Nutro for the size of the pellets!!
