Thank you everyone for all the support.
L4H it is unbearable right now. I do know that it is the right thing to do but I am having a hard time imagining our home without Winston. Its been a long hard night for him and I know his pain will come to an end soon and for that part I am grateful.

Cindy, first dog I saw this morning was a fellow walking his chocolate lab. Of course I thought of you and Winston. His was young and full of life, and Winston would be preparing to get his wings and give up his failing body. The circle of life. Hugs to you and DH on this most difficult, and loving, day. Bomber will be waiting for Winston, along with many other furries to show him all the tricks up there. Find peace today Cindy, it is within you. Winston run free to the bridge and know that the pain will be gone forever now. One day your mom and dad will join you and your family will be together again in love.

have not posted much since February...just too difficult coming on here since G&H left but I have been following three threads and this is one of them. Winston I am so heartbroken for you and all your family and wish I could just squeeze you and hug you as you feel your heart breaking Winston lived a fantastic life with you and will be well received at the Bridge with all the precious souls that have left before him. Strength and Godspeed to you today... Too many of us know how you are feeling
