Right now, I put his food into an old ice cream container...I put 3 cups old, 1 cup new. Shook it, and he's been eating out of that food...I've cut him back to 1/3 cup at 10am. 1/3 at around 5. Then only about 1/6 at 10pm.Just to say he has food in his tummy, so he doesn't whine in the middle of the night.
Once that ice cream container is empty, I'll be mixing 2 cups old, 2 new....finish that off. Then it'll be 3 new, 1 old...and then after that, all new. That sound ok? Gotta go, Thor is giving me the evil looks, as I stop playing with him, to comment...haha Angie |

Your mixing sounds like a good gradual switch-over. One thing I would change if you can is make all the meals equal size. Hope the new food works well for him!

Oh his actual meals are the same...the 1/6 of a cup is given in his kong...something to entertain him before bed(and help wear him out...lol) while giving him that substance in his stomach...it works, and I find the food is better for his tummy then the treats(aka, his stool is getting firmer! woot! lol)
But ya....he loves his night time "snack" of 1/6 of a cup in his kong. Thats ok right? Food as a treat? Angie |

if we're going out for the full day without Brina, I do the same, I have 4 kongs and three interactive balls she has to toss around to get her treats out of, I fill all but two with her kibble/meal, the last two I fill with treats and hide them so she has to find them. keeps her busy and feeds her at the same time
