Teribball
*Treibball*
I was looking for different sports to do with your dog and I came upon Teribball, or ball herding. I thought this would be fitting for Enzo he is a BC, but we have no livestock nearby for him to herd. I sort of remember watching someones dog on here play with an exercise ball which is what this made me think of. But anyways i just thought i would share it with all of you... and here is a link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfCDK...eature=related Last edited by hedgiemama; March 6th, 2011 at 11:46 AM. |

Oh, man does that look like fun!!! Love the way he stares them down, then charges! I would try something like that with the Pack but I think they're more into the BubbleWrap theory of balls--pop 'em, and they're much easier to carry around!

WOW ...that was so to watch ....thanks for sharing. I loved how the dog kept going back to herd the ball farthest away each time.
I bet Enzo would love doing that and, you know of course, that we want a video of him once you've taught him. |

They are taught to go to the ball farthest out first and are then directed from there i believe, and of a course a video would be posted. Ill post one of each of the step when he learns each of them, unfortunately most of the work wont be done for another month or so since at school until then.

Is this a German thing? It's a fantastic idea! I think Scruffy would love it. Sure a great way to keep the border collie brain working.

It says it came from Europe, so im not 100% sure. And it would definitely bring out the border collie even more in him!

Wow, is that ever neat. Imagine, a use for that stupid big ball I bought for Pilates. Seriously though, do the dogs get wear or tough spots on their noses? I know a doggy who might like to do that.
