The bad brothers
Been a great winter for them. Cold and lots of snow. Still won't smile for the camera though. As soon as they see it, they put their serious faces on.
![]() ![]() Baxter stays in the shade no matter how cold it is. A true vampire....he burns up in the sun. ![]() ![]() Baxter again, this time inspecting one of the small white pines. ![]() Bentley looking rather proud of himself. ![]() Bentley again. Wondering if I see him emerging from his secret snow bunker. ![]() Bentley is actually almost happy looking in this one. Must have caught him by surprise. ![]() ![]() Showing me their best sides as usual. ![]() ![]() Baxter early morning after one of our last snowfalls. clm |

![]() ![]() how the heck can you tell the difference between the 2 of them ? They're both gorgeous ![]() |

![]() ![]() Baxter is a lot bigger than Bentley. Doesn't look like it from the pics, but he's almost 30lbs heavier and much taller. Baxter also has a lot more undercoat than the little guy. He's a real poof. ![]() clm |

CLM I didn't realize you had Keeshonds...a lot fluffier than our Elkhounds but I can see they like the snow equally as much.....our guys don't like to come in and then there is poor old Jack the "mutt" that gets cold as soon as he goes out.
Great pictures! |

Yes, they are a lot like Elkhounds. I've seen some beautiful Elkies at dog shows. I think the Elkhounds are larger.
Frenchy, Baxter weighs just over 60lbs and Bentley is under 40lbs. You really notice the difference when they climb in your lap. ![]() clm |

Yes indeed, they are Keeshonden.
They do enjoy winter far more than summer Hedgiemama. They're outside right now laying by the back door soaking up all that cold. I just came in because I was freezing. ![]() clm |

I'll try to get some pics of the girls tomorrow 14+ . The cats are even less cooperative getting pics taken than the dogs.

I love how poofy they are. They look warm with all that hair, but their feetsies must be cold.

Awww, they are so gorgeous, but what a lot of grooming you must do to keep them so beautiful.

Just went around trying to find the cats to get some pics. Squeak is under the bed in the master bedroom. Mookie is under the bed in the other bedroom. Gabby is in the basement sleeping on top of the duct work. I guess I'll have to try again later.

![]() I thought it was Bentley who liked swimming in the winter. Glad he couldn't do it this year. Although - if it keeps on snowing...........

Wow, very impressed by the snow for a start. Great photo's. Your dogs do have a serious expression, love the two shots of Bentley, posing for the camera then in his snow bunker.

![]() I don't know whether they're harder to groom than a sheltie. That long flowing coat can't be easy to care for either. Mats behind the ears and under their arms are a problem. Other than that they aren't that bad to groom if they'll stay still long enough. Then of course there is the odd butt bath to content with. ![]() clm |
