Please help me identify my puppy's breed mix!!!

This is my dog Hank. We got him from a rescue in CO about 2 months ago. he's now 4 months old. The papers said he was an Aussie Shepherd mix...but we think it was a misprint and that he is most certainly part Blue Heeler or Aussie Cattledog mix. Not sure where the brindle is coming from...a few have said they see Pit in him...but I'm not sure. Other have said Dutch Shepherd, german, Plott Hound, etc...the list goes on. Most of his behavior traits are very Heeler...but I really want to know what this little guy is.

Thanks a lot guys...

Oh, we absolutely adore him, and him us. We spoil him to death...he gets loads of outdoor/ mountain trail running time daily. I can't imagine life without this little guy now.

It's just more of curiosity now....it won't change my feelings.

Congratulations on your new addition, dbcash! Hank is sinfully adorable and so lucky to have found himself in such a loving home .

I'm not good at guessing breeds (can't even figure exactly what two of ours are ) but I see some sort of Shepherd in Hank for sure. Only in the last photo, with the shape of his head, I'm guessing a bully breed. One thing to keep in mind is puppies change soooo much as they get older, you'll probably get more accurate guesses once he's near fully grown. I love his fuzzy brindle coat .

He is a cutie pie! I love brindles. The coat is so beautiful.
If it matters to you to find out the breeds you could always have his DNA tested. Here's a few sites for that.

Definitely handsome, whatever his genetics are! Love his coat! Hank, sounds like you got yourself a nice family, too! Welcome to the board, dbcash!

I've never even heard of a Dutch Shepherd before, Chris, but they really do look alike!! Beautiful dogs, both of them.

As soon as I saw the photos of Little Hank , I thought there's a Mini Riley

I don't know about the US but in Canada there aren't too many, there isn't even a rescue for them here, in the US there is.....They are used by some Police forces but apparently they don't like to release too much ...which can be troublesome.
