Well we finally did it
I finally convinced DS that we COULD leave Izzy alone overnight and she would be ok. He was so antsy and nervous about it until his dad (my ex) stepped up and said he would come by and feed and play w/her. OMG I cannot believe it. We never had pets when we were married. XH wasn't a pet person AT ALL.
Anyway we made it and came back and Izzy didn't even know we were gone, LOL. I guess the ex felt bad so he came over this morning too so he could check on her and play with her.

It's so nice of your ex to check up on her for you. Sometimes exes surprise us.
