A big tom cat has been coming to our house all night for a week or so now. We have a spayed female who does not go out alone. At first he would just sit under a window calling her but last night he became very aggressive, actually trying to get in an open window.
The poor thing is in very poor health and belongs to a family in the village, we live on the outskirts of town. As the problem continues I am considering taking him to the cat rescue in the city. The owners will not answer the door and the village does not have a cat bylaw. Would he hurt Maggie if he saw her when we are outside? What should we do? Thanks, Laurie |

I would take him to the rescue and get him neutered
, stupid owners . Is he trying to get at your female or just wanting inside the house?

Thanks, I have put a call in to a cat rescue in Lethbridge, 45 miles from here. I will take whatever advice they offer.
We are not in a position take him in if he would even allow it. Our own cat is a rescued cat (by us). She has socialization problems and needs to live in a peaceful environment . Maybe things are different in a larger centre but spaying, neutering and vaccinations are quite expensive here. The cat belongs to a family of migrant farm workers with 5 children. He is malnourished, beat up and looks to have a bad case of ear mites as well. It would cost hundreds of dollars to make him well. |
