Days out in Ontario that are dog friendly

I was wondering whether there is anything on pets.ca or on the web that is dedicated to places you can take you dog other than general parks.

I have a 3 yr old and 5 yr old and want to take them on fun days out through the summer which may involve an overnight stay and want to take the dog too.

I know most fun parks don't allow dogs, but where does?

I thought a safari park would because you are in your own car but they don't either. There are kennels at the entrance of many parks etc but Lola would have a FIT if I shoved her in there for several hours so would I if it was me

Have you tried petfriendly.ca?

Have you checked out www.petfriendly.ca?

I think it's mostly dedicated to accomodations throughout Canada that are pet friendly, but sometimes it also features specialty resorts and cottages, etc. that are focused on dogs and their owners.

I picked up a brochure once (I think from the vets) that says "Canadian dog parks and locations that welcome you and your best friend" It says if you visit the site you'll find:

-on-leash dog parks
-fenced off-leash dog parks
-unfenced off-leash dog parks
-restaurants/cafes
-pet-friendly accommodations
-vet clinics

I like to take my dogs on trips to some Ontario Provincial Parks. Some of them have dog beaches that are also perfectly fine for people to swim at. It really depends on how long you'd want to travel, but two of my favorites are Pinery Provincial Park and Killbear provincial park. I'm trying out another camp ground next week up by Parry Sound that has a dog beach. I went to Arrowhead last year, has a dog beach area and you can also bring your dog down near the main beaches, set up and go swimming All of them have different limits, but it's one of my favorite activities to do in the summer.
