my 2 yo pure bred boxer has period when his head shakes side to side.. will last 3-5 minutes but will stop sooner if we give him something to eat.
Im a Neuro ICU Nurse and it doesnt appeaar to be a siezure. he can walk and follow commands while it is happening.. ANY IDEAS????? |

There are many videos of boxer head tremors on YouTube as well (some are in the thread above, too). My own little dog Heidi experienced these for a little while when she was younger, but we haven't seen any since the spring (knock on wood). In our case, it's not a full seizure, but more of a focal seizure (only the head bobbing is present, and she's fully allert and responsive).

How often does he eat? once or twice a day?
The boxer I co owned did this as well (as I stated in the thread you were linked to) and we had managed to keep it under control by feeding her more frequently ( same amount of food but smaller and more frequent meals)

if feeding more frequently helps, is it possibly hypoglycemia or low blood sugar?
