sick dog and cat?

I have a dog 2yrs old and a cat old very old.
My dog looks sick like a cold. She has running eyes kinda goopy like. She does not have alot of energy, but other than that she seems fine. This just started yesterday. She still eats and drinks.
My cat seems sick too. He just coughs and gags alot. and eats and drinks alot!!! alot. He can not get enough food or enough to drink.
Any Ideas of what I should do. Just wait things out??

An older cat that is eating and drinking to excess needs to be checked out thoroughly by a vet. If it's something like diabetes, you can't afford to wait it out, since the longer you wait the more damage the diabetes is doing to the body. So a full vet examination is called for.

If your dog is showing signs of being less active, then she's not feeling well, either. It might be something as simple as allergies, but it could also be something more serious. So if she's not feeling better soon, she should probably see the vet, too.

I hope your furbabies are feeling better soon! Please keep us posted on what the vet says!
