Tansport needed for rescue

Permission to cross-post. If anyone can help out with some driving, please contact the person below.

Subject: [michdogrescue] UPDATE TRANS NEEDED:8/15/04 Cincinnati, OH to Bancroft, ON

If someone's available in London I can switch leg 9 for leg 10.
Georgette

ODIE was adopted today, however the shelter has had two more rat terriers brought in today, so we may have one to take his place on this transport.
ALSO, if we can get Wren to Chatham, ON she can spend the week there until we can get her across to Bancroft.
So we only need a few legs filled and someone to take Wren and possibly another little one across the border.
Let me hear from you.
Thank you,
Kathy B.

Thumbs up

See, we post here for a reason. I posted this question and not 15 minutes later I hear from somebody here willing to help transport these rescues.

I am so happy that there are so many caring individuals out there willing to lend a hand when needed!

Thanks !

Heather

This transport is all taken care of. I thank you for offering your assistance. I have nothing to do with the Rescue, however, I receive these emails from time to time and just fowarded them on.

I will continue to post these types of Transports here, in case there is anyone that can assist in anyway.

Thanks again for caring and offering to help.

Its basically a HUGE network of caring individuals trying to get an adopted dog from one place to another. They form a "leg" where each person will take a certain distance and meet the next person there. It is awesome and works really well.

I'm visualizing the ole firemen's "bucket brigade" or maybe, more appropriately, the underground system developed to aid the runaway slaves in the south.

I'm in Peterborough!

I'm glad the legs are all filled. As it is, I'm in Peterborough and although I am working tomorrow, most weekends I do not.

Please keep posting these requests. I can possibly help!

I just received this following email a bit ago. People here may want to join that forum and watch for any transports that they can maybe assist with.

Greetings fellow Retriever lovers,

Are there any of you from Canada? I just wanted to let you know about the new All-Pet Adoption and Transport Boards at 'Canadian Pet Rats Club.' Please join, and post about Canadian dogs needing homes or transportation. Or, of course, if you can help with transport for other cats / dogs / small furries. Thanks! The URL is

Transport

Is there a way to begin a transport forum? If not can I put my name on a list for S. Ontario? Who arranges these transports? Can I email them?
