sick cat?

My cat has been losing so much furr lately (it's endless) and her nose is dry and warm. Is she sick...do I have to worry?

Is she lethargic, sleeping alot, drinking, eating - are there any other symptoms?

She's not lethargic but she drinks alot of water. More than I've ever seen her drink before. She also doesn't want to drink the water that I put out for her...she wants the water straight from the tap (sink or tub).

How old is your cat? Excessive drinking can be a sign of diabetes or kidney problems.

You need to take her for a check up, and probably a blood test to determine organ function, or diabetes.

McKenzie is 11 yrs. old. Her moods haven't changed and she's still so playful. I'll make an appointment because I just thought that maybe she was drinking so much since it was so hot in my apartment. Thank you all for your helpful advice.
