cat drooling and has raspy meow

my daughters cat has a raspy meow and is drooling but otherwise is apparently healthy. any ideas.
im thinking it could be a virus.

Has she taken the cat to a vet yet? It could be anything from a virus to dental problems to a toxic reaction. A vet check should be the first order of business--and sooner rather than later!

x2 on the vet visit...could have ingested something from under the sink...or a plant...
