Question Cat vomiting and Kitten Question

We have 2 cats, a 2 yo flame point siamese and a kitten (14 wks old). The 2 to has had a vomiting problem and the vet put her on Science Diet sensitive Stomach, but she still will howl and cry just before vomiting, which is recent. I assumed it was hairballs, but wanted to run it by you here. It is yellow/brown in color and she seems OK otherwise. Any ideas?

The kitten has been with us for about 6 weeks and up until yesterday she was a playful normal kitty. She started crying a lot yesterday and runnig around almost uncontrollably. she would stop and lick at her area near where her tail joins the body. It is almost manic in appearance, and she would not sit still.

Both girls are spayed and have been to the vet regularly and have all shots and exams.....I want to know if what I am seeing with either cat is cause for concern?

Thanks,

Larry
