Strafford Terrier/Boxer Mix - Lena Needs a Home (Vancouver BC)

Name: Lena
Age: 9 years old
Dogs: Yes with proper introduction
Gender: Female
Kids: Yes
Cats: Yes

Meet Lena. Lena is a Straffordshire Terrier/Boxer mix. Unfortunately Lena injured her back about 6 months ago and hasn't been able to walk since. According to the xrays there is no break or nerve damage. Due to muscle loss Lena is unable to walk without her wheelchair.

Although Lena's family loves her very much they need to give her up as they can't spend the time caring for Lena that is needed. Lena would do well in a home where someone is around all day to provide the proper care for her. Lena is a great dog that gets along with all animals. She has lived with 4 cats, 6 goats, and 3 horses and gets along fantastic with everyone! Her best friend is a tabby cat. She also lived with 3 other dogs throughout her life. Since her injury a proper introduction will be necessary. Lena loves people and she loves to fetch and swim. YES!!! Swim even with her wheelchair
She is very athletic and enjoys long walks but is just as happy to sleep on the couch while you watch TV. She is very obedient and attentive. She is calm but gets excited to see her people. Despite her handicap she is very mobile in or out of the wheelchair and her condition seems to be improving all the time (with enough attention).
