ulcers on the tongue of a cat

I took my cat to the vet for drinking wierd. I was told that he has a rare disease, where he may be alergic to his teeth, or the plaque on his teeth. He has uncers on his tongue. Now I have another cat with the same problem. I have 11 cats at this time. They are all rescued cats and are all indoor only. Please, do any of you have any information on this strange disease? The vet said there was very little info. on it. (the two sick cats are not litter mates or the same age)
