Dog Sniffing
My male Jack Russell will not let other dogs sniff him and he gets very aggressive when he sees another dog. We also have a Jack Russell(female) that lives with us but the problem is our male refuses to play with her or let her sniff him even though he sniffs her. We have tried to get them to play but he turns aggressive, but it never bites her he just make a growling noise at her. He is 4 years old but we have only had him for 5 months as his owner died. Please help......

pressure pressure
First of all I wouldn't force the male to play , if he never was used to play with another dog , this can take time he'll play with your female when he's good and ready , but he might never play with her too. One of my dogs I adopted when he was 5-6 yr old. Took him about 3 years to play with another one of my dogs , and he only played with this dog , never the others. |
