LR it was so funny ...poor Piper (the other doggie) he was so tolerant then the snarl comes....teeth show and little Christian is just humpin away payin no mind!! Then the little warning snap, and Christian is thinkin it's playing hard to get or something (no pun)!

At the Humane Society they had named her Indy, I didn't like it so I came up with Lindy. AKA Lindylou.
So Lindy is not quite ready for the 200 feet rope. OMG she totally freaked with excitement and then I had a heck of a time getting her back under control. She was flying at me and biting and all riled up. I was a little scared cause I didn't know how far she would go. eeek.
I know Rome wasn't built in a day and I know we are going to have good days and bad days but it is hard cause I really want to play with her and I want her to be able to run and play with other dogs, chase sticks in the water and all of those other fun dog things. It will come I know, but waiting can be hard.

I love that she is happier than a pig in poo I am just p.o.'d about the biting. She really got me and she was not happy about being corrected so she got even more out of control. I will call the trainer on Monday.

Daaamn those collies huh! I just turn and walk away from Sadie when she does that, takes a min but then she goes back to running her herding circles like a nut and leaves me alone. Each dog is dif how it responds though.

Maybe the training lead is too long???

For sure the 200ft lead was a mistake!!! She needs to be better behaved before that will work. In September I will take her to obedience school and learn how to do the off leash thing. Also there is a puppy playdate drop in thing at one of the doggie daycare places near here. Might be a better choice for doggy socialization training. I am a bit peeved at the Humane Society. First they tell me she is a year and then when I am picking her up they tell me she is 10 mos and now the trainer is telling me she is most likely 7mos. I had really wanted an older dog in the first place. Will the vet be able to guess her age with more accuracy?
