Yeah, I've never seen it, it's on a Pay Per View channel - porno I guess.... It's a bunch of girls that strip when they tell the news... I don't know that it's a Canadian production though...?

Are Canadians that laid back? Come on, you how we jump down everyone's throats when they ask a question here, more like uptight....LMAO!!

See, I think it's the other way around. I find that the states are VERY laxed about alot of things, that's just my opinion. When I watch American tv - complared to Canadian tv, there is a huge difference in lauguage used, it's much more "sexy" and sex oriented than our CBC!! LOL!! Gun Control for one. I realize it's in your constitution, but I think that's ridiculous. Have you seen Bowling for Columbine? SOOO many Americans are killed every year by guns, MANY more than many other coutries. I don't get it. It's funny because by household, Canada has more guns, but nearly a quarter of the deaths by guns...

I"ve never seen Naked News and hope I never do!!

But yes, Canada ( and particularly Quebec) have a much more open attitude towards sex and nudity than Americans do, and always has.

Years ago, I watched a movie called "The Red Pony" - once on Canadian TV, and once on American. The American version censored the scene of a mare giving birth, as though it were obscene!

That's true, but it's done in a snickering, high-school-boy locker room way. Here, it's just part of life.

Besides, we're too preoccupied with trying to stay warm to get excited about too much!

LOL!! Better watch what you say!!! People from Heidi's end of the coutry still think that we all live in igloos and have only sled dogs!!!

Funny: A friend of mine lives in Niagara Falls Ontario. A family from the states came across and had gotten lost and ended up stopping at their house asking for directions. We were enjoying the wonderful July weather (this was a couple years ago) sitting on the porch drinking some beers. ANYWAY, this car pulls over loaded up with all this gear, and a ski rack on the top. The man gets out and asks us which direction they had to go to get to the ski hill. I was dying!! LMFAO!! Trying so hard to keep a straight face!! My friends mom walks out to the road and directs him back to the highway, she tells him to drive north for a while and he'll know when he gets there...

I would have to disagree with the idea that the US is more laid back than Canada;

http://www.cbc.ca/story/arts/nationa...ssi040720.html

Do you have the stats that show that Canada has more guns per household than the US? I don't know a single person who owns a gun, and I live in Vancouver.

Here's the "sources" that I got the information. As I said in my post the information was from Michael Moore's Bowling for Columbine...weither it's credible source is your opinion...

The U.S. figure of 11,127 gun deaths comes from a report from the Center for Disease Control. Japan's gun deaths of 39 was provided by the National Police Agency of Japan; Germany: 381 gun deaths from Bundeskriminalamt (German FBI); Canada: 165 gun deaths from Statistics Canada, the governmental statistics agency; United Kingdom: 68 gun deaths, from the Centre for Crime and Justice studies in Britain; Australia: 65 gun deaths from the Australian Institute of Criminology; France: 255 gun deaths, from the International Journal of Epidemiology.

http://www.michaelmoore.com/words/wackoattacko/

And:

But across a Great Lake (and in the case of Detroit, across a river) is the great country of Canada, where 70 percent of the households have guns yet gun-related deaths are about one-fourth as common as in the United States.

Yeah, I wasn't questioning the gun related deaths, but I guess I will have to find a source that shows the ratio per country about gun ownership.

I still say Canadian television is way more lax than American.....I am talking about general cable, not sattelite.

Sorry Donna, I misread the information that I had gotten that from - Canada has almost as many guns as the United States... but like my previous post said the US has 11,000 gun deaths compared to our 300+ That's a significant difference. Sorry I had misrepresented the information that I had.

http://www.davekopel.org/2A/LawRev/C...un_Control.htm

Canada does have one of the highest rates of gun ownership in the world!! and ALMOST as many guns per capita...

Actually, when I ever thought of Canada before, I visualized quaint little french cafes with lots of flower baskets. Must be the travel advertisements.

Search naked news out on google, they'll let you have a free preview online of the current show. while I wouldn't pay for a subscription for it, its still a novel idea.

naked news, OMG. ewwwww yuck do they have a version for the over 80's, oh sick so sick . well they must have good heating in toronto
11,000 gun deaths annually in US, that is sooo sad and now that freaks me right out. when ever i have thought about america i think of school kids killing each other, metal detectors in high schools and drive bys, not being mean but that is what comes to my mind, and maybe im not that far off, i would be way to scared to go to america, i would be constantly terrified, in aus we dont have many guns, and they scare most of us to death. i would love to see jerry and oprah but i doubt i will ever go there, way to scary for me. (this week our govt will destroy another 30000 guns as part of a scheme to reduce guns in aus, boy it is working very well i must say)
i would like to say also that 65 pa for aus, many of these are domestic related, mad husbands ruining lives, we do have a few gangs but the coppers in victoria are making up the rest of that 65 i assure you, never trust a vic copper, they shoot before asking 'judge, jury, executioner in one'.
i have always been told canadians are laid back, and that they are very similar to us in humor and attitude, talking with you lot i think you are to a certain extent. so any of you going for a job on the naked news, i bet it pays well ?????

My understanding was that the Naked News originally broadcast in England, and then it was tried in Canada. Could be wrong about that, but I remember catching a glimpse of it one day on the news when they were going on about it coming to Canada. They had the British version on, and since I tend to find accents pretty hot it was hard (forgive the pun) to not watch.

I've also seen a naked cooking show on here. I think they've had it on the food network. Boy you'd want to be pretty careful with spillage of stuff as it comes off the stove! That would smart!

I must ask!

They do a naked news show of naked women then someone gets an idea to do a naked men show, then labels it gay friendly? Do they not think straight women would watch naked men? I don't have cable myself and have not seen these shows but if I'm at your house ya might catch me surfin the channels if ya have satelite Now that I know....lmao
