Moxie update

Hi all, I don't know if you remember me, it's been about a month since I posted here last. Things got busy, our computer got a virus, so I lost the link. Now I've found you again, so here is an update on Moxie So, since we brought Moxie home, things have been a little hectic. 5 days after we took her home, I found out I am pregnant with baby #3. Since the litter box is dhs domain anyway, that's not a concern. I was concerned in the beginning that she wasn't going to be happy here because she hid so much, and would arch and puff up and growl whenever she saw Echo, our border collie mix. They are definitely getting along now, Echo tolerates Moxies sometimes too rough playful advances, and often gets down and plays with her. I find them curled up, sleeping together often.
Moxie sleeps with me every night, which is fine, except that she is still so small and light I'm afraid I might roll over, not knowing she's there and squish her.
She is great with the kids. Seriously, I am very impressed with her level of patience with both, my 5 year old, and my 16 month old. I have often found myself chasing after my daughter and her friends saying, "Put Moxie down, let her go, if she's hiding, it means she doesn't want to play!" But after one unfortunate incident where poor Moxie spent the night trapped in a drawer, that has gotten better, as my daughter felt absolutely terrible. My son, the baby, looooooves Moxie, and with go up to her and snuggle her and rub his face in her fur. He doesn't hurt her, but I am amazed that she sits for it. I am surprised and impressed that both my children aren't covered in scratches.
All in all, Moxie is a great addition to our family, and is settling in very, very well. She's even learning not to go on the table and counters, which is good, because having an animal on the counters really bugs me

Sounds like Moxie was a perfect fit for your family! Good kitty!
