Mini Dachshund Friends?

Hi, I'm new to this site, and I'm also new to this breed. I've got a 5 month old short haired black, tan and a little white mini dachshund named Weasel.

I live in Edmonton, and don't know anyone who has any dogs. I would really like to get Weasel more socialize with other dogs because his previous and only real play mate a pug named Cid moved back to Calgary with her owner. If anyone knows of any dog walking clubs or anything like that could you please let me know? I've been trying to find some on the internet but with no luck. :sad:
